Vision

A Domesticated Version of Nature

A garden where you can relax and enjoy, while it maintains its own natural balance.

In my planting schemes, I would use a selections from our own assortment of rare shrubs and trees such as perennials. This creates structure and forms a harmonious, natural whole.

For me, it goes without saying that both plants and materials should be sustainable. That’s why I choose plants that are, as far as possible, grown according to organic principles.

I take into account in my designs that every person is unique and so is every garden. Creating spaces that are thoughtfully tailored to each client.

Initial Consultation

In our first consultation, we’ll explore your wishes and the possibilities for your garden. I’ll visit your space, and together we’ll look at its current state. Afterwards, I’ll prepare a detailed report with my observations.

Based on this, we’ll decide how I can best support you in creating your dream garden, whether through:

Garden design
Maintenance advice
Plant sourcing

Finally, we’ll schedule a follow-up appointment to move forward.

The Essence of a Garden is Its Plants

A carefully considered planting plan shapes the overall vision. The right plant in the right place, natural order, variations in height, specific needs, and — not to forget — year-round beauty and ornamental value all come together.

Together, we discuss the atmosphere you envision. You are welcome to share mood boards, books, or photos with me. I then transform these ideas into a concrete design, taking into account factors such as light, soil, water management, and the time you wish to spend on maintenance.

Garden Design

These Are the Lines That Define Your Garden

The layout, style, and choice of materials set the framework for your garden.

What kind of atmosphere would you like to create? Which colors and themes appeal to you? Do you have a partner with different ideas or wishes?

Functionality is equally important. How do you plan to use your garden? Would you like to enjoy a sunny terrace, or relax in a hammock beneath old trees? Do you need a play area for children, or a lounge surrounded by (edible) plants?

Together, we identify the essence of your wishes and possibilities, and I create a structure plan. Once approved, the final garden design follows. Would you also like a planting plan? That can, of course, be included!

Garden Visit

Garden Visit with a Detailed Report as the Foundation for All Next Steps

I’ll visit your garden and together we’ll assess the existing situation. Afterwards, I’ll prepare a detailed report with my recommendations.

This report can serve as the basis for a planting plan and/or garden design, giving you a clear roadmap to create your dream garden — or simply as a guide if you prefer to work on your garden yourself.

Who am I

Capturing Nature in Design

I’m Anne Bulk-Brylla. My journey began in Germany, where I focused on art and design. This path eventually led me to Denmark, where I discovered the enchanting world of plants. Enthusiastically, I immersed myself in it and in 2011 I completed my training as a nursery gardener with specialisation in trade (horticulturist).

Since then, I have gained experience by working in garden centres, as a greenkeeper, and in designing and realizing gardens. In 2013, my journey took me to Boskoop, in the Netherlands, where I now run a nursery for special plants together with my husband.

My love for plants has been a constant throughout, but over the years the call for creativity grew stronger. As a garden designer, I now combine these two passions, guided by many years of hands-on experience with plants.
